About
Here at Kingfish, We Create Solutions to Challenging Problems...
Owner Randy Pausina has had a successful career at the Louisiana Department of Wildlife & Fisheries & St Tammany Parish Gov. He brings valuable passion, knowledge, experience, and leadership to any challenge. Most notably, he served as the Head of Fisheries for the State of Louisiana for 8 years. During that time, he shepherded the State & Gulf through massive natural and manmade disasters including Hurricane Katrina and the BP Horizon oil spill by creating novel programs to help solve real world issues.
Randy led impactful programs like LA Creel, the first state-managed Red Snapper data collection method validated by the National Marine Fisheries Service. His leadership also played a key role in expanding the territorial waters of Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama from 3 to 9 miles, enhancing red snapper management. Known for his strategic vision, communication skills, and stakeholder relationships, Randy has a unique ability to unite diverse groups and address complex challenges.
He’s campaign oriented and has a knack for creating robust strategic visions and creatively executing them. He has a strong professional and personal connection with stake holders both locally & internationally. Randy has an ability to work with multiple groups with different interest through effective communication and understanding their unique challenges and critical needs.
Randy is also credited with the implementation of a data collection method for the management of Red Snapper, LA Creel. This was the first state run data collection method in the Gulf of Mexico validated and adopted by the National Marine Fisheries Service. He also inspired Congress to move the states of Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama’s territorial Economic Exclusive Zone line from 3 to 9 miles for the management of red snapper. It was through his coalition building abilities and leadership that these and the state management concept became congressional actions.
This is just a glimpse of the expertise Kingfish Services brings to any organization or project.
